The Throws Club of Indiana

The Throws Club exists to provide professionally coached training opportunities for Track and Field athletes dedicated to BIG THROWS.

We provide a comprehensive toolkit for athletes who are looking to take their Shot Put, Discus, Hammer, Weight, and Javelin Throws to the next level.

Shot-put State Championship

The Throws Club of Indiana was founded in 2014. Realizing the need for professional throws coaching and elite training opportunities at the youth, junior, and collegiate level, a club dedicated solely to training throwers was born.

Coach Miller competed in all five events at Purdue University while earning his degree in Exercise Science. 

At Purdue, he earned Big Ten Championship points for the Boilermakers in three of the five throwing events. He reached the pinnacle of his throwing career with a 14th place finish at the NCAA Division 1 National Championships and an Olympic Trials qualifying mark in the Shot Put.

  • 9 junior high, high school, and collegiate school records

  • 8 IHSAA Sectional or Regional Titles

  • 10 High School State Championship podiums

  • 2 High School State Titles in the Shot Put

  • 3 Invitations to New Balance High School National Championships 

  • 2 NCAA Division 1 All-Americans

  • Over $500,000 in Athletic Scholarships to throw in college
